Flying Frontier During the Pandemic
Donna and I have traveled twice on Frontier during the Pandemic. We flew a round trip to Bismark, North Dakota and a round trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. The experience we had very good and we felt same on the flights. Like I always say it is up to you when you feel comfortable traveling or leaving your home in general but this is to be a guide so you can see what it might be like if you choose to travel on Frontier. Check in: At each airport they have marked 6 feet of distance at the check in counter and you are required to wear a mask while…

Flight Travel Today
With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic travel has drastically changed. There are travel restrictions all over the world and even quite a few between the different states in the US. At the airport things are also very different. The article today is about our recent experience June 5th to June 7th flying for the first time since mid March. We decided it was time to test the waters and try a short flight to Corpus Christi on Southwest Airlines. I write this article so you can see first hand what its currently like to travel now and give a little information on travel today. I am not encouraging you to travel…

Prepare for Travel after Covid-19 by earning miles from home
If you are like me you yearn to be traveling after this long period of staying at home. As we do the right thing and halt travel for the time being you can of course take this time to read up about destinations you might want to visit once restrictions ease. There are also options you can use now that Donna and I use to continue earning miles and points for once we can travel again. Here are a few ways you can be earning point and miles while sitting at home. Some of these options have a cost and other items are completely free and only take your time.…

There has been a lot of talk about airline seats and putting in as many seats as possible with shrinking legroom. While that is the norm these possible new seats that just came out actually look pretty cool. Check it out! https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/airbus-new-economy-seat-prototype/index.html

ATL
Atlanta is a very interesting city and has a lot of unique things to do there. It is one of Donna and I’s favorite US destinations. It also is home to the worlds busiest airport that is like a mini city. Atlanta Hartsfield has many restaurants, art and exhibits to see if you are there for a layover or visiting Atlanta. Here is a guide on the airport that gives some good tips. https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/atlanta-airport-guide/index.html

Aer Lingus
Aer Lingus is the national carrier of Ireland and an airline Donna and I regularly fly going over to Europe. We have found the service and entertainment are excellent, the prices are great and in comparison to some airlines the seats are comfortable. Getting the chance to visit Ireland is also wonderful since it is a beautiful and friendly country with many great sights to see. Aer Lingus isn’t as well know but its an airline to check out. I agree with this person’s take on Aer Lingus and had a nearly identical experience on my flights in 2018 on Aer Lingus. We will be flying it again for sure…

Travel During the Government Shutdown
You may be wondering if you have trips planed in the United States what things are opened and if flights are operating normally. Right now flights are operating normally since Air Traffic Control and TSA employees are working without pay. There could be delays as employees are starting to call in. National Parks might still be able to be visited but there will be no facilities (restrooms, museums open). Where there are restrooms open they are quickly becoming unusable due to no maintenance. All the Smithsonian museums are closed at the moment. Here is more information about the shutdown and travel: https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/us-government-shutdown-travel/index.html
