Portugal

Donna and I have visited the Western most nation in mainland Europe a few different times. We have stopped over in the capital of Lisbon three times and visited Sintra, Cascais, Maderia Island and other areas such as the Western most point in mainland Europe. This small nation is one of the oldest nations in Europe and has held the same borders on the Iberian peninsula for years. The nation of over 10 million people has a colorful history of seafaring and exploration with great Portuguese explorers such as Henry the Navigator, Vasco De Gama, and Ferdinand Magellan to name a few. The food and exquisite pastries are something to try in this nation. The seafood is also extremely fresh and nice. This country is up and coming with tourism and very affordable. I expect to hear much more about this nation and tours in the future.
